OMG: Plant a Tree, Plant a Life
August 4, 2016
We are putting an end to the eyesore and we need your help.
Durnibar proudly welcomes all enthusiastic volunteers to join our latest response to the never-ending pollution – “Operation Mean Green!”
Durnibar proudly welcomes all enthusiastic volunteers to join our latest response to the never-ending pollution – “Operation Mean Green!”
Before proceeding much further, let us blow your mind with these distressful “facts”:
1. Every year 5 billion pounds of garbage is left untreated on the streets of developing countries with plastic being the major constituent.
2. Stats shout out that densely populated areas impose threat on inhabitants of death by lung cancer by 40%. Well you are not as safe as you might think!
3. It has been estimated that pollution in all of its forms have affected 100 million lives worldwide!

We refuse to let environmental degradation in the form of pollution, deforestation and other unsustainable practices to continue in our beautiful, once lush-green country, and of course ultimately the entire world. This time we are taking Operation Mean Green quite literally, and what is more ‘green’ and environmentally beneficial than trees?
The main ambition of this event is not solely to clean up trash from streets and plant trees for a single day. We want to create a long sustaining influence through you. You will recycle, you will reuse and you will stop littering yourself as well as encourage others once you step aside from your duty as a volunteer and tread back to your everyday life after this. The t-shirts and certificates that you will take home will be a reminder of your valor and flawless judgment about rights and wrongs. We hope to inspire you and take back home a lot from this experience. Volunteers will be awarded for their contributions.
